Customers, suppliers, balances and statements

A party card gathers identity and operations. Customers belong to sales and suppliers to purchasing; statements explain balance movements, not just contacts.

Before you start

Select the correct company and verify permissions. Learn in a test workspace; posting or restoring can change actual data.

Workflow

  1. 1Add name, contacts and address; search existing records before duplicating.
  2. 2Review currency, payment terms, credit and pricing where relevant.
  3. 3Open details to review invoices and payments; use a statement for the required period.
  4. 4Compare balance with movements and payment allocations before recording a new adjustment.
Captured in local preview. Names and balances are samples; controls can differ with permissions and activated products.

Watch this distinction

An unallocated receipt may not close the intended invoice. Review allocation instead of editing the party balance manually.

Verify the result

Reopen the record and check saved values and state. For financial operations, compare the document with the relevant movement and report before continuing.
