Why is a screen missing or a button disabled?

A missing function can reflect company, product, role or document state. Check these in order before changing permissions or creating a replacement record.

Before you start

Select the correct company and verify permissions. Learn in a test workspace; posting or restoring can change actual data.

Workflow

  1. 1Check the company and product shown in the interface; you may have switched workspaces.
  2. 2In design preview, saving and some actions are deliberately disabled; test them in an actual test account.
  3. 3Ask the company administrator to review your role and access, then check module activation in Operation tools.
  4. 4For an existing document, check state, closed period and required fields; its state may prohibit editing.
  5. 5If it persists, give support the screen name, error time and message, with sensitive customer details hidden.
Captured in local preview. Names and balances are samples; controls can differ with permissions and activated products.

Watch this distinction

Do not grant the owner role to fix a disabled button. Filters can hide existing records; clear search and check the period before recreating one.

Verify the result

Reopen the record and check saved values and state. For financial operations, compare the document with the relevant movement and report before continuing.
