Periods, assets, budgets and currency revaluation
Period closing protects accounting history; assets track long-lived value; budgets support comparison; revaluation handles foreign-currency balances at a date.

Before you start
Select the correct company and verify permissions. Learn in a test workspace; posting or restoring can change actual data.
Workflow
- Before closing a period, inspect drafts, reconciliation, trial balance and differences.
- Record asset cost, date, category and accounts; review depreciation before posting.
- In budgets, enter account and period amounts, then compare actual results for the same period.
- For revaluation, check exchange rate, date, accounts and difference before approving the entry.
Watch this distinction
Do not repeat depreciation or revaluation for a period without inspecting existing entries.
Verify the result
Reopen the record and check saved values and state. For financial operations, compare the document with the relevant movement and report before continuing.
