Manufacturing: request, execution and stock

When manufacturing is available, separate planning from actual execution and material consumption. Sales-item settings do not replace manufacturing specifications or components.

Before you start

Select the correct company and verify permissions. Learn in a test workspace; posting or restoring can change actual data.

Workflow

  1. 1Check module activation and permissions, then review finished product, specifications and components.
  2. 2Create a request with quantities, dates and required details; review material needs and availability.
  3. 3Record actual execution in its dedicated workflow; specify consumed materials and output using available fields.
  4. 4Review warehouses, units, waste and cost where included before approval.
  5. 5Inspect material and finished-product movements; ensure consumption or output was not recorded twice.
Captured in local preview. Names and balances are samples; controls can differ with permissions and activated products.

Watch this distinction

Do not manually change balances to simulate unapproved production. Specialized factory workflows need setup and review for the actual operation.

Verify the result

Reopen the record and check saved values and state. For financial operations, compare the document with the relevant movement and report before continuing.
