Download and safely restore a SINAD backup

A backup restores company data to the backup time. Restore is not an additive import: newer data absent from the backup may be removed.

Before you start

Select the correct company and verify permissions. Learn in a test workspace; posting or restoring can change actual data.

Workflow

  1. 1In Backup, download a full copy and confirm the file is saved in a safe location.
  2. 2For restore, upload the correct SINAD file and read the comparison before applying.
  3. 3Review records to be added, changed or removed; download the pre-restore safety backup.
  4. 4Apply only after review; if the comparison expires or data changes, upload and preview again.
  5. 5Set a download reminder if needed; reminders do not automatically download a file to your computer.
Captured in local preview. Names and balances are samples; controls can differ with permissions and activated products.

Watch this distinction

Current passwords, sessions and secrets remain current. Restored reports do not replay previously sent messages. Verify the result before resuming work.

Verify the result

Reopen the record and check saved values and state. For financial operations, compare the document with the relevant movement and report before continuing.
